Two Farmers Farm is owned and operated by Kelsey Lee and Dominic. We have been farming together since 2010, and founded Two Farmers Farm in 2013. After operating on leased land for 12 years, we relocated to own land in beautiful Vassalboro, ME in 2025. It is a privilege to be your farmer, to be part of a vibrant agricultural community, and to get to do what we love every day.
We believe our food system is strongest when we work together – thank you for joining us!
Our Mission
Two Farmers Farm strives to produce food in a way that is truly sustainable by providing a high quality of life for farmers and farm workers, stewarding the agricultural land base for long-term environmentally sound food production, and fostering equitable food access.
We believe that access to healthy food is a human right. Approximately 17% of our production is distributed through local food banks and other hunger-relief organizations.
Certified Organic
We are proud of the quality and safety of our produce. We use growing techniques that are safe, sustainable, and enrich soil health. As part of our commitment to food safety and ecological stewardship, all of our products are 100% certified organic under the USDA National Organic Program by MOFGA Certification Services.
For organic certification, we are audited at least annually by an independent inspector who ensures that we are following all USDA NOP guidelines. Organic inspectors walk our fields and greenhouses, talk with our staff, inspect our produce and materials storage areas, and review our production and financial records to ensure that we are in complete compliance with the NOP regulations. We are also subject to random unannounced audits and pesticide residue testing. MOFGA has been certifying organic farmers since 1972, is one of the country’s oldest certification programs, and is a grassroots organization active in the fight for organic integrity.
Food Safety Certified
All of our products are GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) Certified by the United States Department of Agriculture.
GAP is a voluntary food safety certification. GAP certification includes at food safety annual audits, including surprise audits, that involve harvest observation, interviews with farm staff, and inspection of farm fields and facilities. We are required to regularly test our irrigation water, follow an approved food safety plan, and comply with extensive record keeping and standard operating procedures to document our food safety and worker safety practices.
